About Remembering Your Life

Welcome to Remembering Your Life.

This project was created by Louisa in honour of her mother, Lyn, who lives with dementia. As Lyn’s memory and health declined, Louisa became increasingly aware of how many stories, conversations, and little details of life can quietly slip away with time. Like so many families, there was a feeling that there would always be more time to ask questions, share memories, and hear the stories that make a person who they are.

But something beautiful also emerged.

Each time Louisa returned home, family and friends would begin sharing stories about Lyn, memories from different chapters of her life, moments of humour, travel, friendship, and connection. Together, these stories created a richer and more complete picture of who Lyn is beyond the illness itself.

That experience became the inspiration for Remembering Your Life: a place where stories can be gathered, preserved, and shared so that memories remain living connections rather than moments lost to time.

The photograph featured here was taken in Tuscany, Italy, in 2017 during a trip Louisa and Lyn shared together.

“Day 10. Drove through beautiful Tuscan countryside. Stopped at Montalcino – beautiful village on top of a hill. Made our way through Chianti region to Greve. Had lunch there.” Extract from Lyn’s diary.

Sometimes the smallest memories become the ones we treasure most.

How does it work?

A personalised story page is created for you or the person you want to celebrate. Friends and family can then contribute memories, stories, reflections, and photographs, helping to build a rich collection of moments from across a lifetime. These contributions are gathered into a beautifully presented digital book that can be read online and downloaded to keep and revisit.

You can create a personal page, a shared story page for people whose lives are deeply connected, or an In Loving Memory tribute page to honour someone who has passed away.

One of the most meaningful parts of the process is the conversations that happen along the way. The earlier you begin capturing stories, the more opportunities there are to reflect, reconnect, and share memories together while those moments are still fresh and accessible.

Your memory book will be updated three times a year as new stories and contributions are added, allowing it to continue growing over time. Begin creating your page and start gathering the stories that deserve to be remembered

Create your page here.

Step 1 – Create Your Page

Begin by visiting Create Your Page and selecting the type of page you would like to set up. You can create a personal page, a shared story page, or an In Loving Memory tribute page.

Once payment is complete, you’ll be asked to complete a form with the details you would like included, choose who will manage and approve submissions, and personalise the page with any optional add-ons.

Your page will be created instantly. You’ll be able to review the information, make edits, add further details, and personalise the page before sharing the private link with family and friends.

Step 2 – Invite others to share

Now that your page is ready, invite family and friends to contribute their own stories, memories, reflections, and photographs using your unique page link.

Each submission is reviewed by the page manager before being added, helping to keep the space respectful, meaningful, and true to the people being celebrated.

Every contribution adds another layer of connection, helping to build a richer and more personal picture of a life, relationship, or shared experience.

Step 3 – Build Your Memory Book

As stories and photographs are added, they are gathered into a beautifully presented digital memory book that can be read online or downloaded to keep and revisit.

Your book will be updated regulalry as new contributions are shared, allowing your collection of memories to continue growing over time.

Many people also choose to share the memory book with family members, younger generations, carers, or close friends as a way of passing stories, history, and connection forward.

Step 4 – Keep the Stories Alive

A story page is not just a place to store memories. It becomes a space for conversation, reflection, connection, and shared history.

Use it to revisit important moments, spark meaningful conversations, celebrate milestones, and continue documenting the stories that shape your life and relationships.

Because the stories we share today become part of the legacy we leave behind tomorrow.
